WPT Bestbet Open: 104 eliminations on Day 2, David Diaz resists
351 poker players took part in the start of the World Poker Tour Bestbet Open which takes place in Jacksonville, in Florida. After the first days of departure, only 129 players survived to the Day 2. The 129 survivors of the day before began on the Day 3 but only 25 players ended well the day. At the end of the Day 2, many players failed to qualify for the next round where there are only 25 players. Among the eliminated of the day, there is the case of David Simonini, Matt Ezrol, Brian Hawkins, Allen Kessler, John Spadavecchia, Timothy Miles, Harrison Gimbel and Matt Glantz who were ousted before the 14th level.
Elimination continues with that of Will The Thrill Failla, Ben Hamnett, Tommy Vedes, Brian Hastings, Matt Waxman, Talesh Patel and more others. Eliminated at the 37th place, Patel was the bubble boy of this poker tournament. Ray Weaver, David Tuthill, Hank Sitton, Bolivar Palacios were also among the unlucky of the day but they were rewarded for their effort by having finished in the ITM with a minimum gain of $ 7,138. Among the 25 survivors of the day, David Diaz is at the head of the chipcount with 1,705,000 chips whereas his pursuers have less than 900,000 chips. His dolphin, Michael Linster, had 816,000 chips, followed by Benjamin Zamani (725,000) for the Top 3. David « Doc » Sands, Tim Reilly, John Dollinger, David Bell, Raj Vohra, Chad Deberry and Aaron Lucas are still in the race for the title and the $ 321,521 that go with it. The aim of the day is to finish among the last six players who will compete in the final table.
