WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown: Kevin Eyster won the Main Event
The Seminole Hard Rock Showdown & Casino in Hollywood hosted for a week the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown. The Main Event of this tournament gathered 52 players. Last Sunday, the Main Event reached its six-handed final table composed of Jeff Madsen, Kevin 1sickdisease Eyster, Paul Dlugozima, Zo Karim, Ben Tarzia and Daniel Letts. The day was short for Jeff Madsen, Daniel Letts and Paul Dlugozima. With three players remaining, Kevin Eyster increased the gap by confirming his cheap lead before Zo Karim and Ben Tarzia who began to lose his stack. Zo Karim was on track to go to the heads up but he was finally eliminated by Kevin Eyster.
Eliminated in the 3rd place, Karim settled with $ 252,190. Kevin Eyster and Ben Tarzia met in the heads up with a clear advantage for Eyster who held more than 12.7 million chips against 3.5 million for his opponent. Thanks to this great advantage in terms of chip count, Eyster conquered the win in only eleven hands. Kevin Eyster pocketed $ 660,395 for his landslide victory at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown while the runner-up Ben Tarzia left the poker room with $ 389,750. This new victory completes Kevin Eyster prize list since the beginning of the year. In January, Eyster won the $ 365 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed of the World Series of Poker Circuit. And a few days before during this month, he won the No-Limit Hold'em Six-Max, Event #34 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XXII.
