Mega Poker Series: An Australian won the Madrid step
The Gran Casino Madrid hosted for four days the Mega Poker Series. During this event, many players moved to Madrid which 352 have participated in the 770 buy-in Main Event. The final table held last Sunday was between Yehoram Baroukh Houri, Augustin Diaz Herrero, Adrian Apmann, Daniel Rauta, Daniele Nestola, Breixo Gonzalez, Hanh Tran, Miguel Angel Martinez Rodriguez, Quentin Larique and Michael Ebner, the tournament ten survivors after four days of competition. This final table guarantees a minimum of 3,000 and 45,000 for the winner.
Quentin Larique was the first player eliminated from the final table. Shortly after, he was joined by Daniel Rauta, Breixo Gonzalez, Adrian Apmann and Daniele Nestola. The five remaining poker players were having a deal and the first eliminated would pocket 20,000 instead of 13,000. Michael Ebner was eliminated in the fifth place and pocketed the money after four hours of play. Eliminated in the 4th place, Augustin Diaz Herrero left the table followed by Miguel Angel Martinez Rodriguez. Both players pocketed respectively 22,900 and 28,000 after the deal. These eliminations helped the Australian Hanh Tran to reach the heads up with the French Yehoram Baruch Houri. The Australian began the duel as chipleader and was able to maintain his lead until the end of the day. The deal allowed the French to raise 28,000 for his runner-up place against 34,000 for the new winner of the Madrid Mega Poker Series.
