WSOP APAC: Philipp Gruissem winner of the $50,000 High Roller
This weekend, the high-roller tournament of the World Series Of Poker Asia Pacific (WSOP APAC) at $50,000 of buy-in recognized its winner, who is none other than Philipp Gruissem. It should be recalled that, the event gathered 44 big poker players, generating $2,156,000 of prizepool. The German, High stakes specialist is the one that shone during the finale table because he successfully imposed himself in front of many professional players like Paul Phua, Joe Hachem, and Marvin Rettenmaier. He, also, dominated the November Nine Joseph Cheong during the final headÂ’s up. It is not the first time he had shown his talents in this kind of events. In fact, Guissem already counts among his achievements a second place during the $25,000 Aussie Millions 2013 challenge and a fifth place at the Super High Roller of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure 2013.
Thanks to his wonderful victory in Melbourne, this German player received $825,000 of winning, which allows him to get a tournament winning of $4.8 millions in total. His runner-up received $511,000 of prize. Note that the finale of the WSOP APAC main event is still taking place at Crown Casino poker room, now. Spectators certainly still have their eyes fixed on the chipleader Benny Splinder and the Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu who follows him at the second place. The stakes are high because the winner during this tournament will win AUD $1 038 825 and a WSOP bracelet.
