WPT National Series Cannes: Erwann Pecheux dominates first day

While the World Poker Tour Barcelona had just ended with the victory of the Canadian Chanracy Khan, the World Poker Tour National Series in Cannes opened its doors with the first starting day of the € 1,650 buy-in Main Event that brought together 95 players. The sumptuous Cannes Croisette Barrière Casino is hosting this event on the Mediterranean coast. Guillaume Darcourt, Philippe Ktorza, Fabrice Soulier, Bruno Fitoussi and Nicolas Dervaux were among the 95 players who took the departure of the Day 1A, but at the end of the day, only 52 players qualified for the Day 2. During this first starting day of the Main Event, Erwann Pecheux ranks first in terms of chip count with 149,900 chips. Guillaume Darcourt was right behind with 128,000 chips followed by Patrick Nakache, Patrick Gastaldi, Manuel Da Silva, Fabien Julien, Marco Della Tomasina, Lionel Lacolas, Sylvain Mazza and Guillaume Pruvot who completes the Top 10.

The WPT National Cannes continues in the afternoon of Friday, April 12 in the poker room of Cannes Croisette Barriere Casino with the Day 1B during which over one hundred players are expected. The audience can rely on the presence of Rebecca Gerin, Clement Beauvois, Jean Montury or the come back of Bruno Fitoussi who was eliminated on the Day 1A. As a reminder, the edition 2012 of the stage of Cannes was won by Bruno Lopez alias Kool Shen face to 338 participants.
