Estrellas Poker Tour Valencia: Victory of Daniel Boender during the Main Event
Cirsa Casino Valencia, in Spain was the host of the Estrellas Poker Tour since Wednesday, April 3. This Iberian poker festival ended last weekend with the final table of the Main Event. This event of 1,100 buy-in registered a significant influx compared to last year. Indeed, the fourth season of ESPT was attended by 482 participants against 387 during the previous season. The final table was predominantly composed of Spanish players with six local representatives: Marciano Rodriguez Cortes, Ivan Carmona Oteiza, Javier De Vicente Miquel, Jorge Andres Jimenez, Jose Javier Patiño Gonzalez, Enrique Lanzuela Fornas who faced the Portuguese Antonio da Silva Renato Almeida and the Dutch Daniel Boender.
This latter played as a true executioner eliminating one by one his opponents before his duel with the Spanish Cortes Rodriguez Marciano. Enrique Lanzuela was his first victim, followed shortly after by Jorge Andres Jimenez, Ivan Carmona Oteiza Renato and Antonio da Silva Almeida. Javier De Vicente Miquel ousted Jose Javier Patiño Gonzalez prior to his elimination in the 3rd place against Marciano Rodriguez Cortes. The head's up between Daniel Boender and Marciano Rodriguez Cortes was known before its starts because the Dutch had already eight times more chips than his opponent, more than 8 million against 1.1 million chips only for Cortes. Daniel Boender succeeded to Angel Miguel Rodriguez for the title and pocketed 104,550 against 69,550 for Marciano Rodriguez Cortes.
