BPT Ribeauvillé: Jean-Christophe Fecheter won his ticket for the WSOPE
Jean-Christophe Fechter was the best during the Barrière Poker Tour (BPT) Ribeauvillé held last weekend. He grabbed the trophy and the prize amounting 21,000 including a package of 12,000 for the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Enghien-les-Bains. This Alsatian player took part in this tournament through a live satellite qualifier of 120 and faced a tough test before climbing to victory. He started the final table with a small stack. However, he managed to win. He ousted Nikola Radovanic during the final duel. The runner-up, the bronze medalist Julien Renard, Eliot Hirn and Christopher Shneider who finished respectively 4th and 5th received also their ticket for the WSOPE 2013.
Note that this Alsatian step of the BPT gathered a field of 88 participants. Some poker pros took part in the tournament and some of them accessed the paid places. Among them are Quentin Lecomte, Martial Blangenwitsh, Bruno Martin and Jean Montury. They ranked respectively in the 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th place. For those who have not had the chance to win the famous package, they can still try their luck in the next stage of the BPT. It will be held in Nice from May 3 to 5, 2013. But before the big event, another very interesting event is still awaiting poker players, especially those passionate of deepstack format at the end of this month. This is the Live Deepstack Series which will be held from April 26 to 28, in Deauville.
