WSOP Asia Pacific: The kickoff for this Thursday, April 4
Event highly anticipated by poker enthusiasts in the Asian continent, the World Series Of Poker Asia Pacific (WSOP APAC) will begin this Thursday, April 4 and will end in April 15. For its first edition, the WSOP APAC chose to stop at Crown Casino in Melbourne. The lavish poker room of this casino that is used to host large tournaments to name the Aussie Millions will also receive this tournament. As a reminder, five gold bracelets will be distributed during the WSOP Asia Pacific. The $ 10,000 buy-in main event will be held from April 11 to 15, 2013. The inaugural tournament will be the $ 1,100 No-Limit Hold'em Accumulator. It is supposed to bring together a wide field because its format is quite exceptional. Indeed, the Accumulator will allow players to participate in the three Day 1 and to resume the Day 2 with their total stack during the first three qualifying days.
The event 2, the $ 1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha will begin on April 7. It will be followed by the $ 2,200 Mixed Event and the 6-Handed No Limit Hold'em of $ 5,000. The High Roller tournament that will bring together the elite of poker in the southern hemisphere will be held from April 13 to 14. It will be available for $ 50,000. And as it was announced a few weeks, the famous Caesars Cup tournament will be held on the sidelines of the WSOP Asia Pacific. The tournament will oppose Asian players to European players in the first round. Thus, the team going to challenge is Joe Hachem team and that of Sam Trickett. The winner at the end of this meeting will play against the U.S. team led by the famous Phil Hellmuth.
