FPS Snowfest Evian: Neil Raine wins the Main Event
Last weekend, the Casino of Evian inaugurated the Season 3 of the France Poker Series (FPS). 280 players entered the Main Event of 1,100 buy-in, a field that generated a prize pool of 268,800 shared between the 36 best players of the tournament. 108 of them accessed the Day 2 but after fourteen hours of play, there were only 12 players who competed for the title by accessing the last eight seats of the event. Fabrice Soulier began the Day 3 as chip leader with a stack of 1,263,000 chips, followed by Olivier Fazio with 1,008,000 chips. The rest of the field has less than a million chips like Emmanuel Ciana, Patrikios Chagiat, Mohsen Amini, Christopher Brown, Neil Raine, Anthony Di Zazzo, Romain Secret, Michael Reubi, Jules Sciare and Chacki Aissat.
The chipleader at the final table was eliminated at the 4th place and left the last place of the podium to Chris Brown. Fabrice Soulier pocketed 18,100 while the Swiss left the table with a nice consolation of 23,200. The elimination of these two players allowed Michael Reubi and Neil Raine to meet in the head's up. Having finished second in the UKIPT Season 3, Neil Raine who is more experienced, dominated his opponent. He won his first FPS title and the prize worth 60,000. As a reminder, the British qualified through a satellite in an online poker room. The next FPS will be held in Amnéville from May 28 to June 2, 2013.
