WSOP APAC: A very promising first edition
April will be an exceptional period for poker enthusiasts in the Pacific as the world championship of poker will be held for the first time in Australia with the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific. Like all other WSOP, this poker festival promises gold bracelets to the winners. From next April 4 to 15, the WSOP APAC will be held at Crown Casino in Melbourne and the Main Event is scheduled from April 11. Poker enthusiasts in this part of the world can try their luck for the WSOP bracelets to be distributed through five events. The Event 1 is the Accumulator No Limit Holdem of $ 1,100 which will be followed a few days after by the Pot Limit Omaha of $ 1,650 (Event 2), the $ 2,200 Mixed Event (Event 3), the 6-Handed NLHE of $5,000 (Event 4) and the WSOP APAC Main Event of $ 10,000. The Main Event will be based on a structure known as one of the best in live tournaments in the world. This event will take place over five days with only one departure day on 5 levels of 90 minutes and an eight-handed final table.
In addition to these five WSOP APAC gold bracelets, other side events are on the program. In all, nine Side Events are scheduled from April 11 to 15, 2013: Limit Holdem / Omaha / Omaha HiLo of $ 400, Deepstack No Limit Holdem of $ 550, Pot Limit Omaha Turbo, Deepstack PLO / NLH of $ 550, High Roller Event of $ 50,000, Turbo Terminator NLH of $ 400, Deepstack No Limit Holdem of $ 550, NLH Turbo Teams of $ 400 and "The Rail" Turbo No Limit Holdem of $ 200.
