Global Poker Index: Philip Gruissem rejoins the top 10

Philip Gruissem took advantage of the "aging factor" system and is back into the top 10 of the Global Poker Index (GPI). Indeed, thanks firstly to the inclusion of this variable and secondly his performance during the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic (WPT LAPC), that poker player won 162 points in a week, propelling him in the eighth position. He therefore jumped 6 places. And this tournament held in California also allowed several players to improve their position in the GPI. There is among others the rise of Mohsin Charania on the 14th place in the standings thanks to his 42nd place at the $ 10,000 buy-in Main Event as well as the rise of Micah Raskin, the bronze medalist at the $ 25,000 High Roller in the top 20.

Paul Volpe and Toby Lewis are also players who registered a significant rise in the GPI rankings of this week, always thanks to their results at the WPT LAPC. If Volpe won 87 places and is now in the 79th in the standings, the British player is at the 21st place. Jesse Yaginuma and David Tuthill are the new recruits. The update of this week was also marked by the return of Carlos Mortensen, John Hennigan, Ryan Eriquezzo and Eric Froelich in the rankings. For the moment, the top five remains unchanged. Marvin Rettenmaier is still leading with 3,263.36 points. But the result of the WPT Bay 101 that brought together many poker pros, the GPI will certainly know a big change next week.
