BPT: Jean-Pierre Gleize won the stage in Gironde
Last weekend, the poker tour Barrière Poker Tour (BPT) stopped at Bordeaux in the Gironde department, in France. This third stage of the tournament registered a great success because a field of 124 participants was recorded during the main event of 1,500 buy-in. The total prize pool amounted therefore 160,074. It surpassed the 120,000 guaranteed prizepool. Well-known players were of course among the starting field. But at the end of the event, it was the player from Toulouse Jean-Pierre Gleize who won the victory. He succeeded to Mathieu Gabouleau, the champion of the last edition. He hits then the big bonus amounting 25,000 which is composed of a package of 12,000 for the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), the largest European rendezvous of poker to be held this year in Enghien Les Bains.
Thomas Beraud was the runner-up of the tournament, Kim Sok, holder of the Bronze Award, Philippe Chaboseau (4th), Eric Rabut (5th), Yann Migeon (6th) and Steven Maiffredy received also the famous package for the WSOPE. Among the poker pros who entered in the money, there are Pierre Morin, Thierry Cleda, Patrick Schuhl, Isabel Baltazar and Jerome Aras. After this successful stopover in the city of wines, the BPT will join Alsace to a new stage. The fourth stage will be held in the city of Ribeauvillé and it is expected to take place from April 5 to 7.
