Online poker: A new operator comes on the French market
Online poker is an industry that is booming in France despite market volatility since its regulation in July 2010. Since this new regulation by the ARJEL, many operators received their license and subsequently launched their platform in ". fr". And since that time, some operators were able to overcome the competition and sits a real domination of the sector while others face difficulties. But the precariousness of the French market does not appear to worry EuroPoker which also wants to capture a market share. Indeed, the Swedish operator which operates mainly in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia recently decided to launch its online poker site in France after a long period of development.
EuroPoker received its approval from the ARJEL at the end of October 2011 and its launch should be done in March 2012 but finally it was during this February that Europoker.fr opened its doors to poker enthusiasts in France. This setback advantage partly EuroPoker because in a year, the regulator ousted 9 operators and hired two for a total of 16 approvals in late 2012. Since then, we can say that the market is more open but the dominance of certain operators such as PokerStars, Winamax Bwin.party, Turbo Poker ... which occupy a large market share both in tournaments and also in cash game could make its entrance difficult. On the French market, Europoker.fr use Ongame network as well as Bwin.
