GPI Player of The Year: Dan Shak in the top
The results of the Aussie Millions and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2013 (PCA) completely messed up the rankings Global Poker Index (GPI) Player of The Year. The last update that has just released showed the rise of Dan Shak on the top. Note that this poker player finished 4 th in the $ 100,000 challenge and the $ 10,600 Main Event of the Aussie Millions and finished 8th in the Super High Roller of $ 100,000 of the PCA, feat which let him earned 207 places. Igor Kurganov follow him closely. This player also started very well the year 2013 by writting in his record a 4th place in the $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo of the PCA, a second place in the $ 100,000 challenge of the Aussie Millions and a victory in the $ 25,000 challenge of the same tournament. He progressed 279 seats then. With his fourth place in the $ 250,000 Challenge that has not been yet taken into account, Igor Kurganov could propel in the lead.
Mike Teller completed the podium. He lost the seat of honor despite his performance at the PCA 2013. As a reminder, he won the title of the $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo and has a 7 th place in the $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em and a 15 th place in the $ 25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller. Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Ty Reiman occupy respectively the 4 th and 5 th position. Dimitar Danchev, the PCA 2013 champion also improved his position by moving up to the 6 th place. In the other side, Ole Schemion and Christian Harder decreased by three places and are respectively in the 7th and 8th position. Mervin Chan and Shannon Shorr are the last members of the top 10.
