EPT Deauville: 23 survivors for the Day 5
The fourth day of the European Poker Tour Deauville hosted the 51 survivors of the Day 3. It took only 6 hours for the remaining competitors to define the three tables of 23 players for the Day 5, day during which will be defined the eight finalists of the Main Event of the EPT Deauville. At 6:00 pm, the tournament director ended the day when two players were eliminated simultaneously at the 25th and 24th place, bringing the number of eliminated of the day to 28. Of the 782 participants in the first starting days therefore, there remains now only 23 players to fight for the title and the 770,000 prize for the winner. At the end of the day, Cyril "DonLimit" André finished in the top of the table with a stack of 2,108,000 chips. Rémi Castaignon is just behind with 1,997,000 chips, followed by Hugo Pingray (1,864,000) to complete the Top 3 of the chip counts at the start of Day 5.
Among the qualified for the next round, there are also Aurelien "Guignol" Guiglini, Matthieu Hervé, Enrico Rudelitz, James Mitchell, Noel Gaens, Franck Kalfon, Joseph Mouawad, Glen Cymbaluk, Eilert Eilertsen, Jeffrey Hakim, Walid Bou Habbib, Robert Romeo, Joseph El Khoury, Gordon Huntly, Jean-Pierre Petroli, Yury Gulyy, Eric Sfez, Pascal Aznar, Fernand Michel and Freerk Post. But the day was not a success for everyone. This is the case of the French Lucien Cohen, winner of the EPT Deauville 2011 or the online poker pro Jason Koon. The list of eliminated was also completed by the departure of Michel Abecassis, Romain Baert, Mesbah Guerfi and Sam Grafton.
