WPT Borgata: Mark Ketteringham, chipleader at the start of Day 2
The $ 3,500 buy-in Main Event of the World Poker Tour Borgata Winter Poker Open resumed with the second day 1. The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City hosted the Day 1B that brought together 645 players. Added to the 397 players registered on Day 1A, the first days of the Main Event of the WPT Borgata gathered in all a record field of 1,042 players. This field generated a prizepool of $ 3,335,442 with $ 730,053 will go to the winner. The top six players will reach the final table as the 100th player in the ITM will receive a prize money of $ 6,637. After the Day 1A which allowed 209 players to qualify for the Day 2, the Day 1B began with 645 registered but at the end of the eight levels of play, only 396 players survived. The Day 2 will receive the 605 survivors of the Day 1 for eight levels of 75 minutes.
At the end of the second day 1, Mark Ketteringham finished at the top of the remaining players with a stack of 193,775 chips. Chris Barnes and Filippo Bonura completed the top three in terms of chip count with a respective stack of 189,500 and 172,275 chips. At the start of the Day 2, we find Mark Ketteringham as chip leader, closely followed by Chris Barnes and Luis Vazquez, the chip leader of the Day 1A. Among the survivors of that day, we also find Filippo Bonura, Nimer Ltaif, Matranca Martin, Ray Qartomy, Travis Williams, Marco Dean or Panayote Alafoyannis.
