Aussie Millions: Patrik Antonius and Brian Payne leads the Main Event
After the High Roller, the Crown Casino of Melbourne welcomed last Sunday competitors for the Aussie Millions Main Event 2013. After the first three days of competition, a total field of 622 participants was recorded. And registrations are still open until the start of the second day of competition. But anyway, the rate of attendance of the event seems to register a little fall. If in 2011, the main event of this appointment of Australia welcomed 721 participants last year, there were 62 players less. Despite this drop in attendance, the event continues to attract international stars of poker. On Day 1C, 269 players were present in the poker room. And U.S. players, English and many other nationalities as John Juanda, Melanie Weisner, Sam Trickett, Antonio Esfandiari, Gus Hansen, Brandon Adams, Jens Kyllonen, San Shak, Joe Hachem, Elio Fox, Phil Ivey and Jeff Lisandro was part of the starting field.
Champion of the edition 2007, Gus Hansen was eliminated before the end of the day. It was Patrick Antonius who was the most brilliant. He even climbed up to the chip lead with 204,800 chips in hand. However, if considering the total chip count of the three Day 1, Antonius ranks third. He is preceded by the two leaders of the Day 1B Brian Payne who has a stack of 299,900 chips and Phillip Willcocks holder of 208,400 chips. Slade Fisher, Kevin Rabichow Mark McQuinn, Francis Rusnak, James Obst, Ayaz Mahmood and Billy Jordanou completed the top 10.
