Russian Poker Tour: Slava Tochelovski, chip leader at the end of Day 1
The city of Kiev received since Saturday, January 26 the Main Event of the one of the biggest poker tournaments in Eastern Europe, the Russian Poker Tour. 197 players registered during the two starting days of the 1,700 buy-in Main Event. But after two days, only 113 of them were qualified for the Day 2. The Day 1A brought together 80 players but at the end of the day, there remained only 43 with Ukrainian players in majority like the chipleader Slava Tochelovski. His compatriot Levan Karamanishvili ranks second (185,200 chips), followed by the Russian Vyacheslav Kovalev (117,800) who completed the podium. On Sunday, January 27, 117 players registered in Rus Hotel Kiev for the second departure day of the RPT Kiev.
At the end of the day, Artur Danilau ends at the top standings with his stack of 134,100 chips. The native of Belarus is followed closely by Andrea "Datino" Dato (131,100), Irakli Chachanidze (113,900) and Andrea Villa (109,400). With over 197,300 chips, the chip leader of the Day 1A Slava Tochelovski acceded at the lead of the field at the start of Day 2. Levan Karamanishvili follow him with Artur Danilau and Andrea Dato. The final table will have eight seats and the first eliminated player will receive a gain of 8,000. As the winner, he will leave with a prize money of 75,000 against 50,000 for the runner-up and 35,000 for the final spot of the podium.
