EFOP Diamond Championship: Victory of Markus Ristola
The Finn Markus Ristola has just showed a great performance during the final tournament of the Diamond Championship of the Euro Finals of Poker (EFOP). He indeed won the title of this event of 5,000 entry fee which was attended by 47 players in the lounge of the Aviation Club de France. Finalist of the World Series Of Poker Europe 2009, Ristola made a sensational rise to victory. He managed to eliminate in a few hours his four opponents. This strong performance allowed him to touch the big reward amounting 85,000. In the place of runner-up is the German player, Hauke Heseding who pocketed 62,340 for his 2nd position.
Michel Abecassis was placed at the third place after starting the third day of competition as chipleader. This player who defended well the reputation of France in this competition received at the same time a gain of more than 40,000. Joni Joukhimainen and Alexander Amiel completed the top five. Note that the High Roller tournament of 10,000 entry fee was also held in conjunction with the EFOP Diamond Championship. There were only five poker players registered for this event. And it is Basil Yaiche who was got trophy. He therefore left the event with 33,600 in his pocket. At the second place of the tournament was Akumatti Joentausta who pocketed the sum of 14,400.
