PCA 2013: Vanessa Rousso animates the closing party with her DJ talent
Besides being a good poker player, Vanessa Rousso also has a gift for music. In addition, she expanded her knowledge of the field, resuming her studies at Berklee College of Music for a year. She shared her new passion to her colleagues at the closing ceremony of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) in the Bahamas in 2013. In fact, Vanessa totally enlivened the evening behind her Disc Jockey headphones. Her remarkable talent was particularly welcomed by some of her friends like Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and Liv Boeree. With such a talent, the Franco-American may also have a place in the world of show biz. As a reminder, Rousso began in online poker tournaments and achieved a major feat by finishing runner-up of the WCOOP. Having studied economics, she refused to rely on luck in a poker competition. She instead preferred to rely on a scientific theory, and apparently it succeeded.
In live tournaments, she already won many awards and the most important are her victory in the 25,000 High Roller event of the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo 2009 and her second place in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship of the same year. Note also that she received the merit of having been the youngest woman player who reached the final table of the World Series of Poker in 2006. Thanks to her performance, she registers more than $ 3 million in tournament winnings.
