Woman player with the biggest gains: Vanessa Selbst takes the lead
The edition 2013 of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure closes with a positive balance for the organizers. In the side of players, this edition also shakes up a lot of things as in the poker ranking Women's All Time Money List. Throughout the 10 days of non-stop competition, 1,600 players moved to the Bahamas with a record entry of 6,101 participants to honor the annual meeting of the PCA. But the prize of this edition returned to Vanessa Selbst thanks mainly to her victory in the $ 25,000 High Roller. The American woman player pocketed just about $ 1.5 million after having been paid also for her 11th place finish during the $ 100,000 Super High Roller. Selbst totalize then the biggest gain of all time on the side of women players with $ 7,004,037, just ahead of Kathy Liebert ($ 5,855,655) and Annie Duke ($ 4,270,549).
To return to the PCA, the $ 100,000 Super High Roller was won by Scott Seiver ahead of David "Doc" Sands. Both players pocketed a respective gain of $ 2,003,480 and $ 1,259,320. Dimitar Danchev won the Main Event and cashed $ 1,859,000 against $ 1,190,000 for the runner-up Joel Micka. The Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure transformed five players to millionaires. In all, a total prize money of $ 28,239,728 was distributed throughout the poker tournament which is about 30% more than the previous edition.
