Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon: From January 11 to 20
While all the attention of live poker enthusiasts are now glued to the Bahamas at the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure, Macao prepares to host the edition 2013 of the Macau Poker Cup. This week, the organizers of the MPC announced that the 17th edition of this great adventure will take place from January 11 to 20 in the poker room of Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex. The Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon series will include nine events. The main attraction of this festival of poker in this part of the world is the Red Dragon Main Event of HK $ 11,000 buy-in. The Red Dragon Main Event will begin on January 17 during which hundreds of players are expected given that the event has two starting days. This year, the Red Dragon Main Event of the Macau Poker Cup promises a huge prize pool of HK $ 3,000,000. Celina Lin will be among the players expected because she will be there to defend her victory of last year. In the previous edition, Lin beat a field of 391 players and pocketed a gain of HK $ 854,000.
The festival will begin as scheduled on Friday, January 11 with a Limit Hold'em tournament of HK $ 5,500 buy-in. This first event will offer a guaranteed prize pool of HK $ 500,000. Other side events are scheduled like the Max Mixed Event of HK $ 4,000, the Deepstack Event of HK $ 2,000, the NLH Turbo Event of HK $ 3,000, the $ 5,000 Bounty Event of HK, the HK $ 20,000 NLH Event, HK $ 6,000 NLHE and finally the Bounty Event of HK $ 2,500.
