Supernova status: Won in 39h 25mn by Alex Wice
For this new year, the online poker giant Pokerstars implemented a promotional campaign designed to reward players who acquired the Supernova status, the highest status in the poker room. And many players seem to have decided to embark on the adventure. Alex Wice played poker for 39 hours and 25 minutes to accumulate the 100,000 points needed. He launched in a fearless race against a player named MouldyOnions. The two competitors took part in all sit & go and hyper turbo high-stakes tournaments organized on the site. Very tough and very efficient, Alex Wice won the status in a record time. The result was announced officially last Wednesday by the head of the VIP program, Steve Day.
By reaching the Supernova status, Alex Wice was also awarded 100,000 FPPs that can be used in the VIP Store. And Wice expressed his feelings and impressions during this fierce duel against MouldyOnions. He revealed that the stress was omnipresent. But thanks to his preparations, he was able to win with more ease. He also spoke of his joy at having succeeded in this challenge. But Alex Wice does not stop there. He again developed a new goal to win 8,000,000 VPPs during this new year. With his performance, he can reach in less than two weeks the Supernova Elite status. And if he fills as expected and this goal, he can beat the record of George Lind who won 1 million VPPs in 11 weeks.
