WSOP Europe: The mythical tournament takes the road to Paris
Thanks to the partnership between Caesars and the Lucien Barrière group, France still continue to host during the coming year the championship of poker at the European level, the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). If the WSOPE began in London, after four unconvincing editions, Caesars in partnership with Barrière group had the idea to change its place of holding and organize the event in a country of the Euro zone, that's why the choice of France. The competition were held in Cannes until here. In the first edition, a great success was recorded. In fact, 593 players joined the poker room of La Croisette to compete for the title of the WSOPE 2011 Main Event. Then, a slight decrease in attendance was recorded during the edition 2012. But the two partners seems to have decided to improve more. Indeed, the WSOPE 2013 will now be held in the suburbs of Paris, in Enghien-les-bains more precisely.
It remains to see whether Enghien-les-Bains is really the ideal destination and if this new move will boost the tournament. In any case, the WSOPE Enghien promise as the event of the century in the French scale. They will be held from October 11 to 12, 2013 and will include seven events with bracelets. The arrival of international poker stars like Phil Hellmuth, the defending champion, is expected. And players will travel less because Enghien-les-Bains is located a few kilometers from the Champs-Elysées.
