Roger Hairabedian: Once again voted best French player of the year
Live Poker magazine has just announced the verdict of its annual ranking by awarding Roger Hairabedian as the best French player of the year, a title coveted by Bertrand Grospellier. The two rivals have even embarked on a bold course throughout the year to gather the most points to win this special award. Effectively, Live Poker classification is a benchmark for measuring the performance of French poker players. And it is Big Roger who had the last word. So this is his third title in the Live Poker ranking. Note that Big Roger promised 100,000 to the player who happens to win two consecutive title. This amount would have been offered to Grospellier, the holder of the trophy in 2011 but he failed to retain his title.
If Elky was awarded the second place, Aubin Cazals finished third. This last accomplished a great feat this year as he won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. Philippe Ktorza and Laurent Polito completed the top five. Davidi Kitai, Bruno Lopes, Ilan Boujenah, Fabrice Soulier and Lucille Cailly are respectively in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th position. Ludovic Lacay is the threshold of the top 10 after his victory at the European Poker Tour San Remo. Gaelle Baumann is also present on this prestigious list thanks to a 10 th place in the WSOP 2012 main event. We should also mention the presence of the young runner-up of the EPT Deauville, Paul Guichard. Alain Roy was also rewarded for his consistency. Finally, Guillaume Darcourt occupies the 20 th position. As a reminder, he was semi-finalist of the Partouche Poker Tour and finalist of WSOPE 2012Main Event.
