Heartland Poker Tour: Great feat for Greg Raymer
Since July 2012, the former world champion, Greg Raymer, continues to expand his achievements in the poker circuit Heartland Poker Tour (HPT). As a reminder, he won three HPT titles; the first was acquired in July during the HPT Mexico, the second in September at HPT River City and the third in October at the stage Prairie Meadows in Iowa. This week, he continued to win at the HPT Open Championship held at Belterra Casino Resort in Indiana, a victory that let him pocket a reward of $ 106,030. Thanks to his performance in the HPT circuit, the poker pro of 48 years has a total gain of $ 371,967 for this year.
Raymer is untouchable in this circuit where he excels the most. He joined the poker room as a player holding the lowest stack at the start of the final table of six of the HPT Championship Indiana. But after the first hand, he jumped to the place of chipleader. He then reached the final headsÂ’ up without difficulty, a final that oppose him to Jacob Bazeley. The meeting concluded with of course the victory of Raymer. Note that Raymer was also awarded the title of Player of the Year of the Heartland Poker Tour. For the history, the HPT has been bought by Pinnacle Entertainment after the collapse of the Epic Poker. It will reach its ninth season in 2013. The Director of Operations, Jen Mastrud announced that a project to expand the tour is in the program.
