GPI 300: The ACOP and the Masters Classic change the ranking

The results of the Asian Championship of Poker and the Masters Classic brought a lot of change in the Global Poker Index (GPI) ranking. As for the top 4, Dan Smith, Jason Mercier, Bertrand Grospellier and Marvin Rettenmaier kept their place. But, Andrew Lichtenberger lost two places and is now in the 7 th position. The player who now completes the top 5 is Stephen O'Dwyer. Philipp Gruissem still remains at the 6 th position. Runner-up of the ACOP, Mike Watson also won two places and is now in the 8th position. Jonathan Karamilikis was also propeled at the 107 th place ranking by winning the High Roller trophy of the same tournament. His ability to play poker was awarded.

The other player who also improved his position in the GPI is Bryn Kenney. This latter finished 6th in the main event of € 5,000 entry fee of the Masters Classic of Poker. His efforts earned him 68 points and he currently holds the 13th place. He was followed by Mike McDonald in the 14th position. The latter also won two seats. Phil Hellmuth, David Sands and Roberto Romanello should make some efforts in future majors to improve their position. Note that they each lost a place and are respectively in the 9th, 10th and 15th position. Eugene Katchalov is one of the biggest losers because the remote three places. Note that these are only provisional rankings. With the outcome of the World Poker Tour Copenhagen and the Latin American Poker Tour Lima, new changes will be certainly recorded in the next update.
