Master Classics of Poker: Ole Schemion, winner of the 21st edition
The 21st edition of the tournament Masters Classics of Poker (MCOP) was held in the poker room of beautiful Holland Casino Amsterdam. Despite the holding of various major tournaments in different cities of the world, the event had a lot of success because it drew 212 players during its main event of 5,250 buy-in. A lot of top players have been part of this field if we only name Dominik Nitsche, Marvin Rettenmaier, Ilan Boujenah and Juha Helppi. But it's the German pro Ole Schemion who triumphed. Author of a great victory at the Partouche Poker Tour 2012, the German continues to shine and had just embellished his record with a new title. By beginning the final table as chipleader, he kept his place until the end.
Schemion pocketed 286,200 after having eliminated the Dutch Pieter De Kover during the final heads'up. Finalist of the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo in 2009, the Dutch made a good run at this MACOP 2012. His 2nd place let him won an award amounting 171,720. Fatih Aydin complete the podium and received the third prize of 100,700. It should be noted that some familiar faces were part of the final table like Bryn Kenney, who finished 6th, Richard Witschge 7th and Kristijonas Andrulis 9th. Ivo Hermans, Erik Tabak and Guy Goosens occupied respectively the 4th, 5th and 8 th position.
