WSOP Circuit River Rock: Sonny Sekhon chipleader on the eve of the final table
The 246 survivors of the Day 2 met at River Rock Theatre as part of the third day of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Circuit River Rock. At the end of the day, there were only 30 players who competed the title and the WSOP bracelet to win. Sonny Sekhon is in the head of the 30 survivors of the Day 3 with a stack of 1,762,000 chips but five other players are just behind with over a million chips: Ryan Biermann (1,576,000), David Pecaski (1,455,000), Nick Halvorsun (1,271,000), Mark Potovsky (1,091,000) and Norman Overdijk (1,083,000).
But the day didn't smiled to everyone if we only take the example of the double WSOP bracelet, Greg Mueller, who had an early elimination without reaching the ITM which yet rewarded 108 players. Mueller was eliminated early in the day after a all in against Sean Giesbrecht. It was the same for Braden Hall, Noah Vaillancort, Matt Jarvis, Mark Bonsack and Alex Sutherland, players who failed to qualify for the money. Jean Leblond is the bubble boy of the tournament by having been eliminated in the 109th place by Isaac Baron. Players like Darren Kennedy (107th), Daniel Idema (103rd), Jingjing Liu (79th), Scott Stanko (69th), Scott Stiglitz (67th), Kelly Kellner (54th) or Isaac Baron (37th) also left the tables shortly after but they were already in the money and were rewarded for their effort.
