Irish Winter Festival: The Main Event title for Hartmann

Since last weekend, Dublin was the scene of a major poker tournament that brought together many participants from all over Europe. Indeed, Dublin hosted the Irish Winter Festival in Burlington Hotel. The Main Event brought together a field of 385 players who paid the entrance fee of € 1,125. After the first two days of the Main Event, there were only 19 players vying for the title with Declan Wallace as chipleader with a stack of 877,000 chips. But at the end of the Day 3, the title was played between nine players: Julian Thew, Trevor Dinneen, Jay O'Tooler Ahmed Eydan, Mark McDonnell, Ronan Gilligan, Tim Hartmann and Patryk Pietnoczko. Tim Hartmann was the chipleader of the final table with a stack of 2,440,000, while his rival, Julian Thew has been a little over a million chips.

Short stack of the final table, Trevor Dineen was the first eliminated followed shortly after by Ahmed Eydan. The eliminating of Daniele Nestola by Patryk Pietnoczko reduced the number of contenders to six. Jay O'Toole (6th), Mark McDonnell (5th) and Julian Thew (4th) followed shortly after the trend after their removal by Tim Hartmann, the strong man of the Irish poker tournament. Tim Hartmann and Patryk Pietnoczko were then qualified for the head's up while Ronan Gilligan falls at the 3rd place. After 12 hours of final table, Hartmann won the victory after the game and received € 100,000. Pietnoczko left with a gain of € 56,500 as a consolation.
