Big One For One Drop: Its new edition in 2014
The World Series of Poker is one of the most legendary poker tournaments and the Big One For One Drop, an event which creation marked this year and which attract the attention of all poker enthusiast, promises to remake its reappearance in 2014, said Kara Scott. This year, the WSOP has been marked by this tournament of one million dollar buy-in that attracted many poker professionals, businessmen and billionaires from around the world. Organized by the founder of Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberté, the Big One For One Drop is a charity tournament which purpose is to promote access to safe drinking water. And the tournament was a great meeting because 48 players registered in its first edition held during the WSOP 2012.
The first edition of the Big One For One Drop was won by Antonio Esfandiari ahead of players like Sam Trickett, David Einhorn, Phil Hellmuth, Guy Laliberté, Brian Rast, Bobby Baldwin, Richard Yong or Mike Sexton. For his victory, Esfandiari collected the biggest prize ever awarded in a poker tournament worth $ 18 million. Faced with the growing popularity of this tournament, the organizers wanted to repeat the Big One For One Drop, but not for the next year, that is to say, the edition 2013 of the WSOP. In fact, the Big One For One Drop will be back in 2014. A one-year break is justified to allow prospective participants to save enough to participate in this tournament having the biggest buy-in ever organized.
