WSOP Europe: Hairabedian leads the final table of the 5,300 PLO
The Pot Limit Omaha, Event 3 of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) hosted 97 players who paid the buy-in of 5,300. At the end of the first day, 25 players managed to qualify for the Day 2 and Erich Kollmann was the chipleader. The day was very fast because the elimination of players followed until the time that the qualified finalists for the final table was known. The list of the nine survivors of the day was set when Bruno Fitoussi was eliminated by Michael Mizrachi. Among the finalists of the WSOPE Event 3 therefore, we find Jason Mercier, Jussi Nevanlinna, Roger Hairabedian, Michael Mizrachi, Joe Hachem, Michael Schwartz, Jussi Ryynanen, Michel Abecassis and Ville Mattila.
Mizrachi, who won the WSOPE 2011 Mixed Max and Hachem who won the WSOP Main Event in 2005, are the two favorites for the poker tournament but Hairabedian is also on the way to win his first WSOPE bracelet. Majestic Barrière of Cannes will receive on Wednesday the final table led by Big Roger who has a stack of 335,000 chips, followed by Ville Mattila and Michael Mizrachi who all have more than 200,000 chips. The rest of the field has less than 170,000 chips but the other qualified players still remain challengers for a WSOP Europe bracelet : Jussi Ryynanen (168,500), Joe Hachem (148,000), Jussi Nevanlinna (87,000), Michel Abecassis (85,500), Jason Mercier (75,500) and Michael Schwartz (48,000).
