GPI: Philipp Gruissem accessed in the top 10
The update of the Global Poker Index (GPI) offers a real suspense every week as well as the world's best players and their fans wait it anxiously. By taking into account the performance of the best new poker players of the moment, the list regularly experiences some changes. In this context, the new update that has just been made public mention the enormous progress of Philippe Gruissem. With his third place at the World Poker Tour Grand Prix of Paris, which earned him a prize of 170,006, Gruissem made a sensational entry in the top 10 of the GPI. He won 12 seats and is currently in the 7th position. There is also the rise of Andrew Lichtenberger in the sixth position. At the other side, Vanessa Selbst lost two places. For the moment, the title of leader is still occupied by Bertrand Grospellier.
Ten players joined the ranking among which Ramin Hajiyev who occupies the 174th place. This native of the Republic of Azerbaijan was entitled to a place in the standings with his 11th place at the Partouche Poker Tour 2012. Ole Schemion also enters the GPI, he is at the 185th position. There are also Vinny Pahuja, Tomeu Gomila, Fabian Quoss, Jesse Alexis Cohen, Sean Jazayeri, Matt Salsberg, Nicolas Cardyn and Justin Conley. But Eric Baldwin, Ludovic Lacay, Morten Mortensen, Mike Sexton and Barny Boatman are no longer part of the ranking. Regarding players who recorded an impressive growth, we should mention the case of Dan O'Brien won 112 seats, Tobias Reinkemeier who won 38 seats, Arnaud Matterne (49 places) and Simon Ravnsbaek.
