WPT Malta: Kerignard and Boujenah in a good position

The 104 survivors for the Day 2 of the World Poker Tour Malta (WPT) joined the poker room of Casino Portamaso last Tuesday, September 18 to resume the game. This second day of competition ended with the elimination of 78 players. Jackson Genovesi managed to keep his leadership. He is in the lead with 767,500 chips in hand. Three French are also part of the 26 survivors. Two of them who are Yorane Kerignard and Ilan Boujenah are in a very good position. They occupy respectively the second and fourth place. Ilan Boujenah for his part ended the adventure of Jason Mercier. The third French still in contention is Julien Blague. Unfortunately, he has a short stack of 72,000 chips. He should resist a few time if he wants to achieve in the money list. Note that 21 players will be eligible for a prize.

Other top players also experienced elimination during the day. Among them are Arnaud Mattern, Vanessa Selbst and Phil Hellmuth. Indeed, the Poker Brat were not qualified for the Day 3. He was eliminated by the French Lebel Bastian. At the other side, Tony G will be back on Day 3 with 117,000 chips. At the end of the third day, the six players who will make up the final table will be known.
