WPT Borgata Poker Open: Many stars of poker in Atlantic City
If the World Poker Tour Malta was marked by a weak field, the WPT Borgata Poker Open attracted more than 1,181 participants. Indeed, this edition 2012 of the WPT Borgata Poker Open is a real success. Many poker stars joined Atlantic City in the United States to take part in the main event of $ 3500 buy-in. They compete for a place in the $ 25,000 WPT World Championship and the first prize of $ 818,847 from the huge prize pool of $ 3,897,300. Note that 110 players will be entitled to bonuses and they are certain to pocket at least $ 7,070. On Day 1A, 374 players entered the competition while on Day 1B, there were more than 800 players who joined the poker room of Borgata casino.
After the two first qualifying days, the field was reduced by half. Thus, there were only 625 survivors for the Day 2, which began last Tuesday, September 18. Brian Lemke occupies the chip lead with 275,575 chips in hand. Kyle Bowker is in the second position. Many top players are also in the top 10, the winner of the WPT Grand Prix of Paris Jonathan Little is in the 9 th position and Matthew Salsberg. Matt Glantz, Andy Frankenberger, Joe Cada, Gavin Smith, Mike Sexton, Joe Serock, Theo Tran, Steve Sung, Olivier Busquet, Harrison Gimbel and Will Failla are also part of survivors.
