WPT Paris: Gruissem as chipleader of the Day 2

The WPT Grand Prix of Paris is now in its fourth day after the Day 2 held on Thursday at the Aviation Club de France. At the end of the day, it is Philipp Gruissem who holds the chip lead followed by Bryan Colin and Matt Salberg who close the Top 3 of the chip counts. In all, 63 players will start the Day 3. We find in the list of survivors many professional players and a large presence of French representatives like Juha Helppi, Antony Lellouche, Basile Yaiche, Jason Mercier, Antoine Saout, David Benyamine, Theo Jorgensen, Fabrice Soulier, Jean-Philippe Rohr, Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes, Andy Lichtenberger, Idris Ambraisse and many other. Other qualified players but with a short stack for the next round are Tony G (47,200), the GPI leader Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (33,900) and Alain Roy (30,400) who will have to fight to survive against these players with a big stack. The chipleader of the day Philipp Gruissem has a stack of 280,600 chips.

The challenge for the next day is the ITM because only about one-third, or 27 of the 67 incoming players will be paid.
