Global Poker Index: Elky as new No 1
A few weeks ago, Bertrand Grospellier was at the second position of the Global Poker Index (GPI), behind Jason Mercier, but now, he takes again the leading position. The talent of this French number one in poker is no longer unknown to the middle of poker. Moreover, by recalling his beginnings, everyone admit that his rise in the world of professionals was very fast. And now, this performance continues and shines internationally through this GPI first place. He holds 2,811.07 points in this ranking and he surpasses the American with 100 points. In the third place is Dan Smith, followed by Marvin Rettenmaier in the 4 th place. O'Dwyer complete the Top 5 list. And Jason Mercier is still incuring large risks because Rettenmaier, Lichtenberger who is currently ranked 7 th place and Elky are in good positions at the World Poker Tour Grand Prix of Paris. Vanessa Selbst, Mike McDonald and Shawn Buchanan are respectively in the 5th, 8th and 10 th place.
Regarding the 9 th place, it's occupied by David Sands. He just made good progress in re-entering the top 10. At the other hand, Jonathan Duhamel and Sorel Mizzi left the top 20. Note that this is the second time that Mizzi is out of the ranking since the month of June 2011.
