Unibet Open London 2012: Start of a five day event
The biggest poker festival of London began on Wednesday, September 12 and will only end on September 16. This is the Unibet Open London. Fans of the event are expected at Aspers Casino Westfield London on Thursday to take part in the Main Event, a no-limit hold'em freezeout of £ 1,650 buy-in. The tournament field is estimated to reach 400 participants. A magnificent structure is proposed with 20,000 starting chips for game levels of 60 minutes. Satellite tournaments qualifying for the main event were held in the poker room of the casino on Wednesday, September 12. And those who haven't yet earned their tickets can retry their chances on Thursday as other satellite qualifiers for the Day 1B will take place. In the previous edition, the trophy was awarded to Paul Valkenburg who managed to win face to a field of 272 participants and he pocketed the sum of £ 109,550 for his feat.
During the five-day event, several side events are also planned. There is among others the Head's up tournament of £ 220 entry fee, the no-limit hold'em ladies of £ 150 buy-in to be held on Friday, September 14 from 7:00 pm, the no-limit hold 'em of £ 500, the £ 200 Omaha tournament which will be held on Saturday from 4:00 pm and the six-max Shorthanded to be held simultaneously with the final of the Main Event.
