WPT Grand Prix of Paris: Kickoff of the Main Event
The first qualifying day of 7,500 buy-in of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Grand Prix of Paris' Main Event has already delivered its verdict. They were 95 players who joined the Aviation Club de France (ACF) to take part in this event, which will be spread over five days of competition, the final day is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2012. As in the last edition, top players have been present in the poker room to compete for the title of the tournament won by the American Matthew Waxman. At the end of the Day 1A therefore, an amateur named Jacques Enjoubault managed to pick up the chip lead. He holds 225,200 chips in hand. It will be hard to maintain his position because he is closely followed by stars of the game like Antony Lellouche who has 178,275 chips and Basile Yaiche with 142,000 chips in hand. At this WPT in the French capital, local players are well represented.
Regarding the results of other renowned players, many of them won a place for the Day 2 like Todd Terry, Philippe Ktorza, Jason Mercier, Juha Helppi, Tony G, Fabian Quoss, Jonathan Duhamel, Casey Kastle, Nicolas Levi, Davidi Kitai, Marvin Rettenmaier, Dominik Nitsche, Jean Philippe Rohr and Erik Cajelais. The Day 1B begins on Tuesday from 3:00 pm. An increase in attendance is expected during the second qualifying day especially as re-entry format is effective.
