Melbourne: Olivier Baux as winner of the Crown Poker main event
Olivier Baux was victorious of the Main Event of the Poker Crown tournament in Melbourne, Australia, a tournament during which 461 players were registered. Note that the event had two Day 1. After the first two qualifying days, the field narrowed. Thus, there remained only 273 players who competed for the Day 2. The second day was also very difficult. Only 50 competitors were qualified for the Day 3. Each of them get however a share of the prize pool. The 10 members of the final table were also known during that day. Olivier Baux was very efficient since the beginning of the tournament. Indeed, with his enormous talent to play poker, he participated in the elimination of Aaron Perdue, Craig Ivey and Dave Brownlee who finished respectively 6th, 5th and 4th.
John Saratsopoulos was the next eliminated. He got the third place and pocketed the sum of $ 46,800. After his exit from the tournament, Baux and John Mouawad began the final duel. It took only ten hands for the battle to end. Oliver Baux was thus crowned and received the first prize of $ 101,800 while the runner-up consoled with the second prize of $ 61,800. About the outcome of other competitors, Adi Dahari, Con Diakovasilis, Marianne Crane and Rebecca Catterwell occupied respectively the 7 th, 8th, 9th and 10 th place.
