WPT Montreal: From November 15 to 26, 2012
Land of refuge for American poker players after the Black Friday and the prohibition of online poker in the United States, Montreal is a destination of choice for organizers of live poker tournament. And programs keep coming because after the Stardust Canadian Poker Classic held at Stardust Poker Mansion in Montreal last week, the month of November will mark the come back of the World Poker Tour in the country. Absent on the circuit for a few years, the WPT Montreal is therefore returning this time at Playground Poker Club in Montreal. This poker room has taken over the WPT Montreal after having been held in the past at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls for a few seasons. During 11 days, the Playground Poker Club will receive the world's best players and followers of the circuit.
The Main event of this Canadian step of the WPT is the Main Event of $ 3000 + $ 300 buy-in, but the organizers have set up 13 other side events: NLHE Deepstack, NLHE Deepstack Turbo, NLHE Deepstack Bounty, NLHE-Win the button, NLHE Ante-up, NLHE 6 Max, PLO 8 or Better and also PLO 3 lives. In all, ten WPT bracelets are to win during the new WPT Montreal. In addition to these side events, many satellites have also been planned. For the Main Event, 1,000 players are expected for the coming two days, a field that can expect a guaranteed prize pool of $ 3 million.
