PPT Cannes: Gaston Onana leads and 123 survivors for the Day 2
The 283 survivors of the two first days of entry of the Partouche Poker Tour V regained on Wednesday tables of the Palm Beach Casino poker room for Day 2 of the Main Event. After five levels of 90 minutes, the Day 2 was closed by the eliminating of Bruno Launais. Of the 562 players who paid the 8,500 entry fee, there were only 123 survivors who will be present this afternoon for the Day 3. Gaston Onana takes the chip lead, a position that occurred in the last minutes of the day on a last hand between Gaston Onana and Johanes Van Til. Having lost the hand, Van Til pays Onana and ends up with 128,000 chips on the Day 3. Gaston Onana sees his stack ballooned to become the chipleader with a stack of 412,000 chips.
The other big stacks of the day are Antoine Saout (374,000), Simon Ravnsbaek (370,000), Aaron Lim (348,000), David Williams (321,000), Davidi Kitai (252,000), Justin Bonomo (225,000), Andrew Lichtenberger (233,000). We also found in this field of 123 players well known regulars of live poker as the French Fabrice Soulier, Alain Roy, Tristan Wade, Michael Mizrachi, David Vanplew, Philippe Clerc, Quentin Lecomte, Mikael Azoulay, Alexander Coussy ... Among the unlucky of the day, we retain the case of Jason Mercier, Bruno Launais, David Benyamine, Nicolas Levi and also Marvin Rettenmaier who did not survive until the end of the day. We also note the participation of Tom Dwan who was eliminated just after one hand.
