Poker: The feat of Michael Phelps
Known as a swimming star, Michael Phelps has a passion for poker and it seems that he's a talented player. Indeed, the multiple Olympic champion pocketed $ 100,000 after attending a cash game held in the poker room at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Note that the interest of the swimmer for poker game is not nothing new. He expressed his desire to become a pro of the game for a long time. Moreover, in order to achieve this goal, he trained with renowned players like Antonio Esfandiari, who even became his personal coach. Everyone knows this latter's talent and the exploits he already accomplished. So, the performance that Phelps showed in this tournament in Las Vegas is not surprising. In addition to the opportunity of having good teachers, Phelps also has the skills to be a very good player.
Indeed, throughout his professional swimmer career, Michael Phelps managed to have a great capacity for concentration and reflection. With this feat at Caesar's Palace, the swimmer may easily acquire a reputation in the world of poker. However, his passion for poker is the subject of many criticism. Indeed, with several million dollars in his bank account, Phelps could become a pathological gambler, which frightens his family. So, he should be careful.
