GPI: Only three points gap between Mercier and Elky
Thanks to their results at the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona, many players improved their position in the Global Poker Index 300 (GPI). Note that the last update of this poker ranking which now belongs to Zokay Entertainment has just been made public. Thus, after having finished seventh in the High Roller tournament of 10,000 of the opening stage of the EPT season 9, Bertrand Grospellier won 47 points. He occupies the second place in the standings and it remains only three points to put him in the same position as Jason Mercier, the leader of the GPI 300 of the moment. Dan Smith, who won the trophy of the Super High Roller of 50,000 is in the third position. Note that the U.S. player is also leader in the ranking GPI Player of The Year.
About the other members of the GPI 300 top 10, Marvin Rettenmaier ranks 4 th, Steve O'Dwyer 5 th and Vanessa Selbst 6th. Erik Seidel won a place and is currently in the 7 th position. Mike McDonald, Andrew Lichtenberger and Sorel Mizzi respectively occupy the 8 th, 9 th and 10 th place. Among the players who recorded a huge rise in the rankings appears Jen Thorel Christmas. He won 108 seats after finishing 6 th at the 10,000 High Roller. He is therefore in the 164 th place. John Juanda also won 46 seats, Jean Philippe Rohr 47, Jake Cody 40 and 50 for Tobias Reinkemeier.
