WPT Legends of Poker: Josh Hale offers his first major title
Finally, the main event of the $ 3,700 World Poker Tour Legends of Poker ended with the victory of an amateur player named Josh Hale. As a reminder, 622 players joined the poker room at Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California to take part in the event. But they were no more than 6 to have accessed the final table. Having started the final with the highest number of chips in hand, Hale was able to replace all his opponents who were all great professionals. Note that Max Steinberg was looking for a WPT trophy but could not face the champion of the day. He was beginning the final duel with a stack three times larger than Steinberg. For this major feat, Hale pocketed thus the biggest payday of his career which is a premium amounting $ 500,000, and he was also awarded his first major title in live tournaments.
It should however be noted that Max Steinberg was the favorite of the final of six. Indeed, it removed Jeff Madsen in the sixth place. Continuing to show great performance, the poker pro who won a WSOP bracelet also dismissed Greg Mueller, Ali Eslami and Raouf Malek. These three players are ranked respectively in the 5th, 3rd and 4 th. As runner-up, Steinberg left with the prize of $ 293,490. After this third step, the circuit will soon stop in France.
