Tanger Poker Festival: Serge Kamerrer as winner
Last weekend, the Casino of Tangier hosted the Tangier Poker Million, a live poker tournament that starts to the have success among poker enthusiasts from Morocco and France. For this new edition of Tangier Poker Festival, the organizers of Tangier Poker Million and Marrakech Poker Open brought together 169 players. The Tangier Poker Festival attracted a field of 169 players. For the first time, the Main Event adopted the re-entry system that allowed 28 players to re-enroll. With a buy-in of 7,700 dirhams ( 700), the Main Event guaranteed a prize pool of one million dirhams. Apart from Moroccans and French, we also noted the presence of Romanians of which three of them were qualified for the final table.
After several days of fierce competition, Serge Kamerrer won the title face to the 168 other participants. For his first place, Kamerrer collected 300,000 dhs (approximately 27,000), a reward for his twelve years of activity. The first prize until the 9th place included a ticket for the International Stadiums Poker Tour worth 6600 dhs. The title was played between Serge Kammerer and Adrien Todat who was finally eliminated during the final head's up. The Romanian pocketed 210,000 dhs for his runner-up place. Behind the two first players, there are two other Romanians: Gabor Timisoara (140,000 dirhams) and Andrei Simon (105,000 dirhams). Moundir Zoughari also managed to acceed into the ITM with a gain of 18.500 Dhs.
