ACF: Satellites tournaments for the WPT Grand Prix of Paris
It remains only a few days before the kickoff of the World Poker Tour Grand Prix of Paris. This tournament will be part of poker festival called Rendezvous in Paris to be held in the famous Parisian circle game that sits on the Champs Elysées, the Aviation Club de France (ACF), from September 5 to 20. To satisfy fans who wish to take part in the Main Event of this International Competition, the ACF organizes on Friday, August 31 to Sunday, September 9 many satellite tournaments qualifiers. They have buy-ins ranging between 50 and 150. Two freezeout tournaments of 1,000 that let to get packages for the World Series Of Poker Europe Cannes 2012 will also take place on Monday 17 and Thursday, September 20.
Note that the WPT Grand Prix will take place from September 10 to 15 with a main event open for 7,500 buy-in. As usual, the event could bring together the best players at international level. Last year, a field of 312 participants was recorded and it was the American Matthew Waxman who won the trophy with the prize of 500,000. This year, an increase of attendance is estimated as the re-entry format will be applied. We should also mention that the WPT Paris will consist of many side events like the High Roller, the Omaha Cup and the final of the ACF Poker Tour. The ACF notifies its regulars that regular tournaments are canceled during the festival.
