International Stadium Poker Tour: The tournament obtained its license
There is any other doubt, the first edition of the International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) will take place from May 31 to June 6, 2013. The organizers have just been awarded the license that will let them implement the event at Wembley Stadium in London. As a reminder, the stadium will be transformed into a giant poker room where will take place online and live poker tournaments. If the organizers are able to achieve the goal they set, about 30,000 players will be there for the tournament. Amateurs and professionals can try their luck said the Director General of the ISPT, Prosper Masquelier. And to satisfy the unlucky ones who will be eliminated during the main event, side event tournaments will be also held during the festival. It is therefore a great news for the poker community that can attend an event as grandiose for the first time.
But another information as interesting has also been revealed. It relates the emerging partnership between the ISPT and the Amateur Poker Association & Tour or APAT. This circuit was created in 2006 in the UK and offers great opportunities for poker enthusiasts to play in a professional setting. Several European countries hosted a stage of the tournament as Ireland, Estonia, Austria and Spain. Through this collaboration, four tournaments of the APAT will be sponsored by the ISPT. The European amateur poker championships that will be held in Nottingham from August 24 to 27 is part of it.
