Player Of The Year ranking: Marvin Rettenmaier takes the lead
The magnificent performance that the German Marvin Rettenmaier recently completed as part of the World Poker Tour circuit is still a subject of debate highly appreciated by the poker community. Everyone agreed that the player is in top of his fit and had just embellished his career with two prestigious titles. Moreover, any player was able to compete him in the last two years compared to his many successes. The latest exploit of the German in Cyprus has also upset the Player Of The Year ranking. Indeed, a few days ago, Dan Smith was in danger of losing his leadership because of the presence of Rettenmaier at the final table of the WPT Cyprus. And that's what really happened. Even if he was eliminated in the second place, the German still recorded a significant growth. He is now leading with 1026.47 points. He won two seats.
Some major changes are also visible at the POY rankings as the presence of Erik Cajelais at the 16 th position and John Dolan at the 18 th place. Both also made magnificent ascent, which allowed them to accumulate additional points. Clearly, with these two new recruits, two other players are no longer part of the list. This is Andrew Lichtenberger and Mohsin Charania. They can still get back in the rankings because they still have a few months to play poker before the final verdict.
