WPT Parx Open: Brents Robert leads

After the stopover in Cyprus which ended with the victory of Marvin Rettenmaier, the World Poker Tour (WPT) is actually visiting Bensalem, Pennsylvania for a new stage. Indeed, the WPT Parx Open Poker Classic had just started last Friday, August 10th in the poker room of Parx Casino and its $ 3,500 buy-in Main Event was attended by a total field of 500 participants of which 234 enrolled in Day 1A and 269 at Day 1B, which generated a prize pool of $ 1,600,500. On Monday, the 47 remaining competitors will return for Day 3 and in the place of chipleader is Brent Roberts. He is closely followed by Brock Parker and Shankar Pillai. Note that many well known players were seen in the poker room during the first two qualifying days. Despite the implementation of the re-entry system, most of them failed to go further. This is the case of Joseph Cheong, Charania and Marvin Rettenmaier.

The second day of competition was also marked by the elimination of many professionals like Shaun Deeb, Andy Frankenberger, Dwyte Pilgrim, the chipleader on Day 1A, Cornel Cimpan and Amanda Musumeci. Nevertheless, some top players are still part of the survivors of Day 2 as Steve Brecher, Jon Turner, Victor Ramdin, Bary Allen, Allen Kessler and the chipleader at the start of the day, Henry Lu. As a reminder, the champion of this event will walk away with the handsome sum of $ 416,127.
